Add, edit and reorder fields

Change any field in plain language: add questions, edit labels and options, make things required, reorder, or remove.

Ask your assistant
Add a phone number field after the email field.
Make the budget field required and add an option for over 50k.

Every field has a stable key (like budget_range) that your assistant uses to target edits — you never need to know it, just describe the field by what it asks.

  • Add: “add a company-size choice field with 1–10, 11–50, 50+” — one or many at once, at any position.
  • Edit: labels, help text, required, options, number/rating bounds, AI follow-ups and validation.
  • Reorder / remove: “move email to the top”, “remove the fax field”.

A form holds up to 60 fields across up to 20 steps — see limits. If an edit is invalid (duplicate options, a rating span over 10), the assistant gets an actionable error and fixes it. Edits to a published form go live when you republish.

FAQ

What happens to existing responses when I change fields?

Responses are kept. Removing a field does not delete answers already collected; republish to make edits live for new respondents.
