Configure AI follow-ups

writes data renders an in-chat view

Enable or disable AI follow-up questions ('adaptive intake') on a text field, with a natural-language instruction describing what a complete answer contains. When a respondent answers too thinly, the form asks up to max_followups clarifying questions inline.

Ask your assistant
Add an AI follow-up to the description field - a complete answer mentions budget, timeline and scope. Allow 2 follow-ups.

The hero feature. instruction is required when enabling — it defines complete, and the AI probes only for what’s missing. placement decides where follow-ups render in multistep layouts. Full behavior, caps and degrade rules: AI follow-ups.
