# configure_notifications

> Set where new-response notifications go for a form: email addresses, Slack, and/or a webhook URL (HTTPS POST per response). For Slack, prefer slack: "connect" — it returns a link the user clicks to pick a channel (no webhook setup on their side).

## Ask your assistant

- "Notify me by email and post each response to our Slack."

For Slack, prefer the connect flow — you click a link and pick the channel on Slack's own consent screen. Guides: [notifications](/help/notifications/notifications), [webhooks](/help/notifications/webhooks-automation).

## Inputs

- `form_id` (string): Form id (authenticated). From create_form/list_forms.
- `draft_token` (string): Draft token (anonymous drafts, before sign-in). From create_form's draftToken.
- `notify_emails` (array of string): Email recipients; [] to clear
- `slack` ("connect" | "disconnect"): "connect" returns a click-to-pick-a-channel link for the user; "disconnect" stops Slack notifications
- `slack_webhook_url` (string | null): Manual fallback: a Slack incoming-webhook URL the user already has; null to clear. Prefer slack: "connect".
- `webhook_url` (string | null): HTTPS webhook endpoint; null to clear
